Update : This isn't HDR, but I did tonemap it as part of the processing, though actually not very heavily. It was one of those moments with crazy light that I really like, which is in part why it looks like this. Other than that I removed colours I didn't want, colour curves for the toning (and probably a selective colour layer), desaturated with the channel mixer and pulled back up the colours I wanted to emphasise (hue/sat layer) and then a duplicate of the background which I attacked with the dodge/burn tool to get more/less contrast in specific areas. There are a few other tweaks I won't bore anyone with, but those were the main ones which achieve this effect.
